DE TREVILLE's Fortune looking forward to a bright future

FORTUNE (FR) (c, 2, De Treville {GB}--February Sun {GB}{GSW-Ger}, by Monsun {Ger}), a half-length winner going nine furlongs on the ParisLongchamp turf in his Oct. 16 debut last time, was well away from the outside box and raced on the front end throughout this one. Rowed along passing the two pole, the 29-10 second choice kicked clear approaching the final furlong and kept on powerfully under mild coaxing in the latter stages to easily defeat O'ssitot (Ire) (Olympic Glory {Ire}) by two lengths. Fortune is the latest of five foals and one of three winners from as many runners out of G3 Badener Stutenpreis victrix February Sun (GB) (Monsun {Ger}), herself a half-sister to G3 Prix duPrince d'Orange winner and G1 Prix du Jockey Club runner-up Best Name (GB) (King's Best) and Listed Finale S. victor Heirloom(GB) (Dansili {GB}). The February-foaled homebred chestnut's second dam is GI Garden City Breeders' Cup H. runner-up Flawly(GB) (Old Vic {GB}). Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, €30,500.
