RAMADAN (FR) (c, 2, Le Havre {Ire}--Raushan {Ire}, by Dalakhani {Ire}), a Sept. 8 debut fourth going 7 1/2 furlongs at Saint-Cloud in his only prior start, broke sharply from the inside stall and took immediate hold here. In command throughout, the 2-1 favourite was nudged along when pressed approaching the quarter-mile marker and kept on strongly under mild urging coaxing to easily defeat fellow Nurlan Bizakov representative Narkez (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) by 1 3/4 lengths.

He is just the third runner out of the 1m2f Salisbury winner Raushan (Dalakhani), whose first foal Rasima (Iffraaj) won the Listed Fleur de Lys Stakes at Lingfield in 2018. Raushan is a full- sister to the Gr.1 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Chinese White (dam of the Gr.3-placed winner Misty Grey) and the Gr.3-placed winner Highly Toxic, and they are among seven winners out of the Gr.3 (then) Blandford Stakes winner Chiang Mai (Sadler’s Wells). The latter is a full-sister to the Listed Diamond Stakes second Chamela Bay, and a half-sister to the Gr.1 Prix de Diane heroine Rafha (Kris), the Gr.3-placed winner and sire Franky Furbo (Suave Dancer) and the Listed-placed winners Al Anood (Danehill; dam of the dual Australian Gr.1 winner and sire Pride Of Dubai) and Fayfa (Slip Anchor). Rafha would go on to produce the Gr.1 Sprint Cup winner and top-class sire Invincible Spirit (Green Desert) and the Gr.3-placed winner and record-breaking sire Kodiac (Danehill), amongst others, whilst her numerous Pattern- winning later descendants include the triple Gr.1 winner and sire Mishriff (Make Believe). The extended family also features the triple Gr.1 winner, 2019 Champion European Two-Year-Old Colt and sire Pinatubo (Shamardal).
